1996
On July 1, 1996, founder Tom Gøttsch starts monitoring and optimizing the customers who are service customers of his construction company.
2004
AK-Centralen A/S is established as a separate company with a weekly opening time of 90 hours per week.
2005-2010
AK-Centralen is continuously expanding so that on December 31, 2010 there were approximately 900 subscribers and 10 full-time operators. Opening hours were extended to approximately 120 hours per week.
2013
AK-Centralen extends opening hours to 24/7
2014
Alarm handling from AK-Centralen AB in Sweden is started.
2015
AK-Centralen creates a data department that facilitates the development of programs to further optimize our customers' equipment (Baseline).
2017
AK-Centralen completes first documented energy savings project - Saving 16.8 GWH.
2021
AK-Centralen makes the first franchise agreement with a foreign operator.
2021
AK-Centralen completes a generational change. Tom hands over the reins to his sons and the executive board now consists of: Rasmus Gøttsch (CEO), Morten Gøttsch (COO), Jakob Gøttsch (CFO).
2022
AK-Centralen starts providing demand response and ancillary services via customers' equipment (Regulation Power).
2025
AK-Centralen serves over 2000 subscribers, nearly 40 employees and has documented annual electricity savings of over 45 GWH for its customers.
