Today, we help around 2000 supermarkets to centrally manage their temperature quality at the lowest possible cost for service/maintenance and energy consumption.

Through a sourcing model, we are the customer's impartial guarantor that the temperatures are as desired 24/7 to avoid product loss and sour smiley faces. In addition, we help the customer implement a management model that ensures the right temperature quality to save money on maintenance and energy consumption for the operation of the refrigeration/frost installations.

This frees up the organization to make overall decisions that can be easily and efficiently implemented across the chain.
On the energy side alone, our estimate is that a standard supermarket (50 evaporators) uses 260,000 kWh for refrigeration/frost or a total on the main meter between 450,000 and 550,000 kWh per year. The level of energy for refrigeration/frost operation is between 40-60% in general in a supermarket (Discount, Supermarket, Hypermarket) and for chains this adds up to many GWh and thus a considerable economy.

AK-Central's experience shows that on average 10-15% can be saved on refrigeration/frost operations if monitoring is done through our system.

As an operations manager in a chain, you have a busy day with many touch points and inquiries both internally and externally. AK-Centralen helps the daily manager in the chain by being the first wave on inquiries from stores and technicians in connection with incidents and breakdowns. Incidents and breakdowns in the refrigeration/freezer equipment.

In addition, we make sure to always have documentation on incidents, temperatures, operating statistics and master data. We help make this information available and also make sure to delve into special issues that the chain may experience. This could be special investigations that require ongoing follow-up and documentation, operational analysis reports or quick responses to individual incidents.

All installations to be monitored and optimized go through our FAT (Factory acceptance test). This means that we do not start monitoring until we have checked and tested that the installation works as agreed between chain and installer. This ensures that the customer receives the expected product according to the agreed requirements and that AK-Centralen can start taking responsibility for the alarms under the correct conditions.
