On 1/7 1996 AK-Centralen’s sister company, the contracting company Super Køl A/S, started monitoring and optimising clients who had installed Adap Kool@ and who were service clients at Super Køl A/S.
2 years previously the discount chain, Fakta, had decided to convert all of its then approx. 250 stores to Adap Kool@ and approx. 100 stores were converted on 1/7 1996.
In 2003 Super Køl A/S was monitoring approx. 350 stores.
There were many inquiries about monitoring and optimisation from clients and chains who were not service clients at Super Køl A/S.
At the beginning of 2004 AK-Centralen A/S was founded and offered its services to the whole Danish convenience market with surveillance, management and optimisation of refrigerating installations.
By the end of 2004 there were approx. 500 subscribers and approx. 6 persons affiliated to AK-Centralen A/S with weekly business hours of 90 hours a week.
From 2005 to 2010 AK-Centralen was continuously expanded so that on 31/12 2010 there were approx. 900 subscribers and 10 full-time operators. Business hours were expanded to approx. 120 hours a week.
2013: AK-Centralen expands its opening hours to 24/7.
2014: Alarm processing from AK-Centralen AB in Sweden starts.
2015: The Data department is established (Baseline).
2017: The first energy savings project is finished – Savings 16,8 GWH.
2019: AK-Centralen becomes ISO Certified for alarm processing and energy optimization of cooling systems.
2019: AK-Centralen initiate the use of new domicile located at Holkebjergvej 71, 5250 Odense SV.
2020: AK-Centralen Denmark has over 2000 subscribers, employs 16 people and has documented yearly electricity savings of over 45 GHW for its clients.
